Description
Michael Wittmann (April 22, 1914 – August 8, 1944) was a German Panzer Commander in the Second World War. He was credited with the destruction of 138 tanks and 132 anti-tank guns, as well as an unknown number of other armored vehicles, making him one of the German tank commander with the most kills. Wittmann was famous for his surprise attack on 13 June 1944 during the Battle of Villers-Bocage against parts of the 7th British Panzerdivision. With 5 more Tiger I, he destroyed 12 tanks, 10 half-chain vehicles, 2 crew transporters and 2 anti-tank guns within 15 minutes.
